NEET is one and only Medical Entrance Exam for all MBBS & BDS admission through India. From 2020, the admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like institutions will also be made through NEET 2020.
NEET 2020 to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Online registration started for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2020.
Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 provides for holding of a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law.
NEET UG 2020 shall be conducted in 11 languages, including English and Hindi.
The NEET 2020 Exam Pattern shall consist of one question paper containing 180 multiple choice questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology).

The candidates, who desire to appear in NEET 2020, may check all the details in the Information Bulletin on ntaneet.nic.in and apply for the same only online between 02 Dec 2019 (Monday) and 31 Dec 2019 (Tuesday). The fees can be paid only online up to 01.01.2020 (Wednesday).
NEET 2020 Important Information regarding Registration
Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.
Candidates must ensure that e-mail Address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or parents only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through email on the registered e-mail address or SMS on registered Mobile Number only.
Candidates are advised to take 6-8 Passport size and 4-6 Post Card size (4”X6”) colored photographs with white background. You can check complete guide to apply for NEET 2020. The photographs are to be used for uploading on Online Application Form, for examination and also for Counselling /Admission.
Medical Seats to be filled through NEET
Admissions to all seats of Undergraduate Medical Courses will be done through NEET 2020. The following are the seats available under different quotas:
- All India Quota Seats
- State Government Quota Seats
- Central Institutions / Universities / Deemed Universities
- State / Management / NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental /Ayurveda /Siddha /Unani / Homeopathy Colleges or any Private University
- Central Pool Quota Seats
- All seats including NRI Quota as well as Management Quota, in private unaided /aided minority / non- minority medical colleges.
Indian Citizens / Overseas Citizens of India wish to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses from a foreign Institute also need to qualify NEET 2020.
Counselling & Admission
The Counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats and all seats of Deemed Universities / Central Universities / Seats of ESIC & AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, AIIMS & JIPMER will be conducted by the MCC / DGHS for Undergraduate Medical Courses.
The counselling for admission to the seats under the control of other States / Universities / Institutions shall be conducted as per the notifications issued separately by the authorities concerned. The result of NEET 2020 may be utilized by other entities of Central / State Governments for admission purpose in accordance with their rules.
During counselling, the eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc. of the eligible candidates shall be verified as per norms specified by the respective authorities and Colleges.
